Carriage Crossing Pharmacy is proudly, locally, owned by your community pharmacist, Patty Vamvakitis Kehagias. Patty is a pharmacist with over 15 years of experience working in Community Pharmacy, and has dedicated her career to getting to know her patients, in order to offer a more personalized approach to their health care. Understanding your health care needs today, and anticipating issues that may arise in the future is critical in providing patients with the best possible care, and preventing therapeutic mishaps.
With the growing strain on our health care system, and lack of timely access to their physicians, more and more patients are turning to other sources in order to access health information. The internet has become a "one-stop information shop" for many, but as we all know it is hard to know which resources to trust, and how to assimilate and interpret that information and apply it to each unique situation. This requires special training and knowledge. At Carriage Crossing Pharmacy, we want to empower you to feel like you have control over your healthcare, that you have a safe place to ask questions and receive answers you can trust from a knowledgeable and compassionate health care professional.
Patty Vamvakitis Kehagias
Patty graduated from the University of Toronto as a pharmacist in 2002. In addition to her pharmacy degree, she holds both a specialist degree in Toxicology. She has served as a consultant to a number or retirment and nursing home facilities by performing medication reviews for residents in order to optimize and simplify therapy. She also enjoys contributing her time and knowledge to students and various communty groups who have made requests for speaking engagements.
